Weekly Security and Risk Report 12/10/22

MAST’s weekly security report issue 353 is available to read now.

In the UK, there have once again been a series of reports of armed robbery from commercial retail premises. A mix of bladed weapons and firearms have reportedly been used during these incidents, which have left retail staff shaken. There have been two terrorism-related court appearances in the period observed.

In London, police are searching for the man who attacked celebrity, Katie Piper. Released from prison on licence, he has now breached those conditions. One man has been arrested after three people were stabbed during a street robbery in Bishopsgate.

In Europe, a British man has had his valuable Rolex watch stolen at gunpoint in Italy. Canada has updated its travel advisory for the UK to warn of increased risk of terrorism.
