Somali leaders have wrapped up a Two-day high-level National Consultative Forum (NCF) on the frequently delayed presidential election in Mogadishu. The presidents from the Somali federal state members, including Galmudug, South-West, Hir-Shabelle and Puntland were in attendance of the election talks.
After in-depth talks, the east African country’s top leaders have released a joint communiqué on the upcoming presidential and ongoing parliamentary elections. According to the communiqué, Somalia’s presidential elections scheduled for 15 December have been postponed for a fourth time in row to 28 December, 2016.
