In the UK, an Essex library has proposed issuing staff with body cameras in an effort to reduce assaults and anti-social behaviour. In Liverpool, children as young as 10 could face fines for anti-social behaviour, while Cheshire police are to benefit from an additional £1 million in funding to tackle the problem.

There have been a number of instances of armed robbery in the period observed. Three children under 12 years of age were arrested for a suspected armed robbery on a bus, while a man has been charged following a series of armed robberies on bookmakers in Birmingham.

In London, a man has tragically died the day after a number of luxury watches were stolen during a robbery at a jewellers. The Daily Mail has warned that muggers on e-bikes are a new threat to pedestrians in the capital.
