In the UK, police continue to monitor pro-Hamas protests around the UK while boosting security at Jewish schools and areas of residence. MI5 has noted that the conflict between Israel and Hamas may see acts of terror conducted in the UK. There have been further terror-related court appearances in the period observed.

North Yorkshire police have defended their work in safeguarding the home of the UK Prime Minister in the wake of a protest by Greenpeace activists this year. 

In London, Met Police plan to use facial recognition to identify prolific shoplifters in the capital. Knife crime in London has risen by 20% in 2023, the Office for National Statistics said. Data studied by LBC suggests that some 999 calls in London are taking two hours before a response.
