A Derbyshire man has been convicted of terror-related offences after being extradited from Bulgaria, while the son of a House of Lords clerk has been imprisoned for over three years in relation to a counter-terror order.
UK retailers continue to struggle with shoplifting. The Office of National Statistics reported that shoplifting rose by 22% in 2022. Traders in County Durham and Nottingham have shared their experiences.
London has seen significant disorder and attempted looting following a social media craze. Police in the West End arrested a number of people after stores were looted and scuffles broke out. Two men who conducted knifepoint mobile phone robberies in London and attacked several people have been jailed. Police have shelved an investigation into a burglary at the home of Raheem Sterling, the BBC said.
