Officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command have arrested a second man as part of an ongoing investigation.
A 19-year-old man [B] was arrested yesterday evening, Wednesday, 24 April at an address in west London.
He was arrested under section 41 of the Terrorism Act (TACT) 2000 and taken to a south London police station, where he remains in police custody.
As part of the same operation, a 20-year-old man [A] was arrested at an address in south-west London on the morning of Wednesday, 24 April, also under s41 TACT 2000. He was taken to a south London police station, where he remains in police custody.
A search was carried out an address in south west London and this is now complete. Officers continue to search the west London address.
Both arrests are Syria-related.
