Director of Maritime Security Division
Ben is responsible for the maritime side of MAST’s business; this includes both the counter piracy operations in the Indian Ocean and West Africa.
As a former Royal Navy Officer he was well placed to join the emerging maritime security sector in 2009 after the rise of Somali piracy. Working with MAST from the very early days he has played an active role in the sector as a whole and pioneered the current service offering which broadly reflects how the market looks today. Prior to taking over as the Maritime Director he was based in Singapore with MAST for four years conducting business development and managing the company’s business in the Far East.
