Altogether 10 Islamic State (IS) militants were killed Tuesday in airstrikes on IS vehicles in Iraq’s central province of Salahudin, the Iraqi military said.
The Iraqi army’s helicopter gunships, in coordination with Salahudin’s Operations Command, conducted airstrikes against IS positions in Allas area, some 40 km east the provincial capital Tikrit, Yahya Rasoul, spokesman of the media office of the Iraqi Joint Operations Command, said in a statement.
